Pageants, Mother's Day, 9th Anniversary, Farm Field Trip, Farmers Market......

I am terribly behind on blogging.
This is catch up Part 1.

Grace has never been to a pageant, but has learned about them recently and puts them on for us regularly.  She is adorable.  I think she'd do really well in them.  But I would never let her do a glitz pageant.  If she ever did one it would need to be a natural pageant.  No fake tans, fake eye lashes, fake teeth, ridiculous make up or $2,000 dresses for us.  For now, we will just play pretend at home.  Keeping things simple and innocent for now and always.

Mother's Day; May 2012

Loren asked me what I wanted to do on Mother's Day.  I said a picnic in the woods and some fun exploring.  And, that's exactly what we did!

Sillies were not suppose to get me a gift.  But alas they snuck and got
me a cute bag. I have used it daily since Mother's Day.  A perfect, very
useful gift for this family on the go. It's perfect for holding snacks & water bottles.

And, they surprised me with a necklace that says "You Are My Sunshine, My Only Sunshine."
A song I sing to Grace all the time.  Very special.

Thanks for being an incredible daughter.

They had bugs all over them so we had to attach them to the outside of our car

And, a final stop at Utopia.
Thanks for a wonderful Mother's Day, Loren and Grace!

May 17th, our 9th Anniversary.
We took Grace out of school and Loren surprised us with a trip to Leavenworth.
One of our families favorite places to go.

I am more in love with my husband today than I was 9 years ago.
Who knew love could continue to grow with every year.
I couldn't be happier.

Our favorite shop in Leavenworth

Lunch Time

Trail Walk time at Black Bird Island

Dessert. Mint Chocolate Chip Milk Shake for the Wife-y.  Yummy.

In the winter this is a skiing area.

Such a gorgeous place to stop and run around on our way home.
Loren did theatre in these woods many years ago (Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat)

Farm Field Trip May 2012
Mrs. Foley and Mrs. Holmgrens Kindergarten Classes (4 total)

Eating ice cream at the farm.

Fun Fair at Lincoln Elementary School
May 2012

Grace tried the cake walk a good 8 times and never won.  Poor thing was so disappointed.  Thankfully, she saved most of her tickets for games, cotton candy & a hot dog.  She earned $5 towards tickets the previous week by helping with extra chores around the house (outside of her normal chores).  So she had 25 tickets total for the event.

She used on of her tickets to color her hair.  Thankfully it washed out instantly.

And, her outstanding principal Mr. Weburg being dunked in the dunk tank.
Sadly we just found out he will be moving to Spokane this summer.
We wish him the best!

Daddy rushed home after work to join in on some of the fun.

Dance Pictures & The Farmers Market 2012

Getting her wiggles out prior to photos

This girly loves to dance

After her photos were taken we met up with out of town friends to attend our local farmers market
What a super great time we had.  The weather was perfectly gorgeous.  The company was fantastic.  It was a wonderful day.

We were in need of a new sun hat for Grace and surprisingly found a hand made one (also reversible) for just $5.
Yay. And, we got to support locals in the process.

We splurged and ate lunch at the Farmers Market

The food was so good

Just realized I have not fixed up any of these photos, hence the shadows.  Oops.  Sorry.

Grace found a baby pup to hold and snuggle

I love our little town

And, some random photos

Grace and her healthy snacks.  Girl loves her raw veggies and her Visalus Shakes

Let your life be an adventure.......
