Kindergarten, Here We Come

After many months of trying to figure out where Grace should go to Kindergarten we have, after much prayer and guidance, decided on Lincoln.
It is with in walking distance of our home, which will be perfect for fall and spring time.
All the kindergarten teachers are fantastic from what we have heard.
I have a good feeling.  Yes, we really wanted Grace to go to the private Christian school here and it's not completely ruled out-we just had to say no for Kindergarten and we have complete peace about it.

Grace would like to start Kindergarten, right now!  She cracks us up with her insistency.
She is ready.
She's been ready for a few years.
She loves learning.
She is going to excel in school and I have sneaky suspicion that she is going to be the teachers helper quite a bit.

School clothing shopping done.
School supply shopping done.
Now, we just need to order her back pack and await it's arrival.
It's from Pottery Barn Kids and so stinking cute.

Here is the one Grace picked out.
I think it suits her perfectly.

I can not wait to see what awaits her this upcoming year.
It's going to be exciting, challenging and over all just a wonderful adventure.  I just pray that we have instilled in her the knowledge, skills and confidence to handle all the different situations she is going to face at school.  It is wonderful having peace knowing that God is in control and that He is going take care of her.  Not that her time in school will be stress free, but He will make sure she is able to handle any situation that comes her way.

Mark your calendars: September 14th is the BIG DAY!

And, a great BIG thank you to my mom for sending Grace a lovely going to school package full of clothing, books and other fun items.  Mom also sent Grace a few getting ready for Kindergarten books over the last few months.  I love you Mom!  And, I love how much you really care for your granddaughter. You know her so well.  She loves coming home and finding packages on the door step from Grandma.  It makes her day and she always tells me that she knows how much her Grandma loves her. Thank you, Mom
